Agents Will Attack, Defend, But Humans Will Command: DIG (Tech) on AI

Forget the Terminator, the real AI revolution isn't about robots taking over the world; it's about them taking over your inbox, your spreadsheets, and potentially your coffee order. IPS DIG Ashish Tiwari hit the nail squarely on the head: our digital 'agents' will soon be the frontline, diligently attacking inefficiencies and defending against threats, while we, the magnificent meatbags, ascend to the lofty echelons of strategic overlords. Essentially, AI will do the grunt work, freeing us up to ponder bigger, more existential questions... like what to have for lunch.

During a recent IIT KGP alumni event, Tiwari emphasized that this isn't a dystopian forecast but a significant recalibration of the workforce. He highlighted that AI's growing capabilities will inevitably shift human roles towards supervision, strategic decision-making, and creative problem-solving. This transition, however, isn't without its prerequisites. Tiwari underscored the critical need for widespread reskilling initiatives to prepare the human workforce for these elevated responsibilities, alongside a robust focus on cybersecurity to safeguard the increasingly automated and interconnected future.
